Forestry Company Shares Plans for Reconciliation Journey and Partnerships
Indigenous communities across Canada hold a unique and vital role in the sustainable management of our forests. Canada’s forest sector is committed to encouraging and exploring new partnerships with Indigenous governments and businesses and creating long lasting relationships with Indigenous communities.
Mercer International recently shared its plans to continue its journey towards reconciliation, forming new partnerships and nurturing existing ones, by supporting and learning from the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR) and OYEP– a nationwide initiative building pathways to education, training and work opportunities for Indigenous youth.
